A wood-clad chimney breast imbues our first featured home with warm tone and texture. Rounded corners sweep the feature wall smoothly into the flanking alcoves, where wall shelves display decorative items and a conservative collection of books.

The modern fireplace flames above a chic limestone hearth. A matching travertine coffee table cements the rounded motif in the center of the living space, atop a textured area rug.

The modular white sofa design features a disconnected backrest, which gives the room an open flow. A formal dining area resides behind the couch.

A split-level floor arrangement offers a novel opportunity for zoning. Two modern armchairs are elevated beside the full-height windows to create a cozy area for conversation, coffee, or reading.

The L-shaped sofa looks across the round coffee table to a unique wooden armchair, which adds a sculptural element to the room.

Sheer white voiles filter the direct sunlight from the large living room windows. Indoor plants thrive in the light environment and add fresh pops of color to the neutral decor scheme.

Two elegant white dining room pendant lights appear to hover weightlessly above the sturdy wooden dining table. Wood wall paneling anchors the table in its spot. Towers of shelving are recessed into the adjacent wall, keeping the compact eating space neatly streamlined.

More wood paneling shapes a cozy bedroom decor scheme. The panels are floated in front of rockface to create a textural juxtaposition. A stone gray upholstered bed nests between bespoke bedside tables, which include storage drawers within their minimalist linear form.

Chic bedroom pendant lights hang a glimmer of gold at each side of the room.

A lightly patterned rug softens and warms the floor area around the bed.

Opposite the foot of the bed, a custom-made vanity table fits into a uniquely curved corner. A full-length vanity mirror fills the area with light. Perimeter LEDs accentuate a backdrop of deeply textured rock.

A modern vanity chair and a contemporary wall sconce complete the dressing area ensemble.

Inside the master bathroom, a travertine vanity unit extends across a wide focal wall. Two floor-to-ceiling bathroom vanity mirrors further expand the sense of space.

Rugged rockface makes a textured backsplash behind the bespoke double sink bathroom vanity. LED ribbons set the edges of the mirrors ablaze.

A modern freestanding bathtub stands cleanly against a limestone-clad wall. Wall-mounted bath faucets keep the composition crisp.

Beside the bathtub, a small wooden stool brings toiletries and a sweet-smelling reed diffuser up close.

A snug lounge area is furnished with a curved sofa and a shape-matched round rug. A round coffee table tucks tightly into the sofa’s clutch.

A backlit, rounded feature wall exaggerates the curved theme. The white concrete expanse is broken up by a panel of wood slats, which adds a moment of interest and visual warmth.

The home workspace is anchored by wood paneling, which holds a floating concrete desk and two useful floating wall shelves. Ceramic vases provide a decorative element between the more practical additions.

Our second featured home gains added cozy factor from all-encompassing wood cladding. The wood-clad ceiling treatment flows down the living room walls and finally across the floor. A simple table lamp and floor lamp add a comforting glow.

A natural jute rug pulls the furniture arrangement together without distracting the eye. A bespoke desk hugs the corner of the room, serving as a place for focussed reading. A black armchair sits at just the right height for the low surface. A thin sliver of window glass is revealed between full-height storage cabinets that tuck away a larger selection of books and household items.

The paper table lamp rests on top of a book stack, while small hand-made sculptures crown the others. A large window opens up a view of the peaceful courtyard.

Another full-height window spills courtyard views onto a comfortable dining area. A built-in banquette bench saves floor space in the small dining room. Pillar candles are gathered on a large tray in the center of the dining table to create an atmospheric centerpiece. Floor-to-ceiling storage cabinets host all manner of items underneath bright skylights.

An open-plan kitchen runs off the small dining area. Bar stools tuck underneath the island to form a breakfast bar.

The wooden kitchen installation perfectly matches the tone of the wooden walls, ceiling, and floors. Even the kitchen backsplash remains perfectly matched in smooth wood grain. The wooden kitchen island features a small bookcase under one end of the bench for stowing away a selection of inspirational cookbooks.

Rustic wooden chopping boards and a vintage-style fruit bowl complement the natural wood kitchen surroundings.

A carafe and glass tumblers make a practical kitchen island centerpiece.
