Two Art Focussed Neoclassical Home Interiors
08:32Amongst an array of classic wainscot and decorative boiserie, we find a counterbalance of modern furniture pieces and unexpected colour palettes in these two glorious neoclassical style home interiors. Classic art makes statements of discerning taste and a certain social status, whilst the contemporary influences bear testament to forward-thinking and awareness of moving trends. Our first art-focused neoclassical home design is an elegant portrayal of en vogue archways, which effortlessly bridge the gap between classic design influences and new ideas. Our second featured home interior unleashes a jaw-dropping barrage of bright colour clashes from the pink and green spectrum, and merges trendy ribbed texturing and racetrack motifs within traditional walls.

Located in St. Petersburg, Russia, this neoclassical interior is styled with a chic Parisian touch. Arcuate lines form an elegant theme throughout and entice the eye to focal points such as to this Lady With an Ermine portrait by Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. Stone plaster, mixed wood tones and brass finishes build the base palette.
Two more classic art pieces colour the living room wall with brilliant jewel tones.
A graceful archway defines the walkway between the living room and the formal foyer of the home.
An entryway island makes a grand centrepiece amongst multiple arched features. A custom-cut mirror fills one of the interior arches, to create a bespoke vanity area along with a clean white floating console table, matching vanity stool, and a brass Atollo lamp. A unique entryway bench stretches out beneath two decorative wall mirrors that reflect additional light into the space.
The rectangle dining table and kitchen bar stools carry a darker wood tone than the wood parquet effect floor tiles to create tonal interest.
A petite arch fireplace adds a dainty brass element to the open plan living room layout. A hearth filled with an assortment of decorative vases widens its understated presence.
The unique kitchen design is characterised by metallic cabinet fronts and a luxurious white marble countertop and backsplash. A chunky travertine kitchen island competes for the focal point under a contemporary pendant light.
Inside the bedroom, a whimsical wall covering behind the headboard features a flock of majestic cranes in flight. A swing arm wall lamp serves as a reading light.
A unique desk and matching chair set furnish a home workspace by the bedroom window.
A small white side table serves one side of the bed, whilst a set of narrow shelves leave space around the wardrobe.
Deep blue and rich brown accent decor create a restful mood.
In the powder room that’s located just off the entryway, the pedestal sink unit gently camouflages with its clay backdrop. A unique wall light snakes illumination by the luxe white countertop. A brassy glow warmly emanates from a recessed shelf within the cistern concealment wall, above a set of brass bathroom fixtures.
The master bedroom boasts a spacious dressing room and an ensuite bathroom.
Another illustrative wall covering characterises the unique ensuite bathroom. A mauve curtain draws a veil of privacy across a glass partition wall.
A beautiful star pattern tile fills the bathroom floor, toward a unique modern pedestal sink design that cuts through a white quartz countertop. A candelabra and an arched vanity mirror complete the romantic vignette.
Arched screens elegantly surround an unusual terracotta bathtub.
The interior design mood board for the apartment calls together influences from nature.

Inside our next featured home interior, we’re met with a loud living room colour palette. The Imola chair by Henrik Pedersen for BoConcept and a large area rug lay down bright magenta accents. Classic artwork sits within traditional panel moulding. Decorative boiserie frames the wall mounted TV.
The dining room chandelier drips with crystals above a modern dining set with a quirky colour combo. Green Gubi Beetle chairs and pink cushioned counterparts shake up the pale grey and white dining room decor. An attention grabbing pink kitchen stretches out behind.
Pink and blue flatware dress the glass table, along with gold cutlery. A simple vase of foliage brings in the green element.
As we move upstairs, we encounter a stunning pink glass inset balustrade that catches the daylight and a chic, art infused landing area. A brass art plinth shows off a classic bust sculpture, whilst a photographic print of flamingos complements the balustrade colour.
A black marble console table adds visual weight to the landing arrangement. Brass based wall sconces bring white marble contrast.
An ornate full length mirror serves the spacious dressing room, where custom-made wardrobes carry a contemporary racetrack-shaped motif.
Emerald upholstery wraps a glamorous dressing table and matching vanity stool. A stylish double-headed swing arm wall lamp provides practical, plentiful task lighting over the integrated vanity mirror. Brass accents thread a line of lustrous luxury through the furniture items and decor accessories. An arched, ribbed glass door connects the dressing room to the master bedroom.
Inside the master bedroom, a black and white upholstered bed stands out sharply against a deep magenta area rug.
Pink artwork props against one side of the room, whilst a large wall clock fills the wall space above the pink cushioned headboard.
A second arched, ribbed glass door leads into the ensuite bathroom. In here, a pea green double sink bathroom vanity provides shocking contrast against a grape panelwork backsplash and toilet cistern concealment wall.
A brass bathtub presents the hero piece for the room, which is complemented by a striking sculptural brass side table.
